Sources of Stress

There are various sources of stress in our lives. In this article we will explore a few of the most common causes of stress, and what you can do to reduce their effect on your life.

The most common source of stress for most people is their job. Every day we are bombarded with difficult customers, chaotic phones calls, and demanding bosses—it seems as if the pace just never subsides. This kind of high-pressure work environment can make you feel overwhelmed. It is therefore important to take some time out during your day, even if just for a few moments. Here's a quick exercise you can do called a breathing break. Stop what you're doing and inhale slowly and deeply for 4 seconds, then hold your breath for 2 seconds, finally breathe out for 4 seconds. Repeat for 10 breaths. This exercise relaxes you, reduces anxiety, and raises your body's oxygen levels.

A second source of stress is setting unrealistic goals. Unrealistic goals lead to feelings of frustration, hopelessness, and depression. A classic example of an unrealistic goal is, “I want to earn a million dollars a month by the end of the year.” For the average person this goal is simply not achievable, as the resources required to achieve it are out of reach. Of course, if are about to take your company public, or have an extensive real estate portfolio this goal may very well be realistic to you. For the rest of us, more down to earth expectations are necessary. Maybe set a goal to increase your income by 20% every year. Within 5 years you will have doubled your income.

Another source of stress is conflict. With constant violence, world tensions, divorce, and relationship problems we see every day on TV, it is no surprise that most people think conflict is normal, and even healthy. Learn to get along with your fellow man better by striving to be more patient and to understand the other person's point of view. Although conflict is sometimes necessary, most situations can easily be resolved with an amicable approach. Reducing conflict will make your life more peaceful and relaxed.

Sometimes we can't avoid stress, as many sources of stress aren't always under our direct control. In those situations, it is useful to have a stress reliever that can quickly restore you to a mental state of calm and tranquility. We have created such a tool for you. Testimonial

I have tried a lot of relaxation products and techniques. Your Instant Relaxation recording is far and away the best I have ever encountered.

After listening, I felt more relaxed then ever before. My muscles felt soothed and healed and my mind was clear and refreshed - ready to take on the rest of the day.

It was like I had just woke up from a good night sleep. The best part is, it only took 14 minutes of my time!

I would tell people, if you want to feel more rejuvenated, more alive, and less stressed, you need to get a copy of this recording right away!"
